As more and more refugee’s entered Bangladesh from Myanmar, the refugee camps, some of them existing since 1992 are slowly extending to full cities.
Give it another 6 months and Bangladesh will soon have a new town, just as it happened in Dadaab and other places. This process is something that is hard to control and part of human history for centuries. Humans have to leave their ancestral land and need a new place to stay.
As this process is so natural, it can be overall frightening. The times, where we had swaths of untiled land which could serve as a home to hundreds of thousands are all long gone.
Most of the good, arable land is already taken. With a already dense population, Bangladesh is especially hard hit. So, the prospect of a growing refugee population, expanding for good on some areas, leave some Bangladeshis with an uneasy feeling.
