Water is a very valuable commodity in southern Morocco. A region already suffering from low rainfall is experience a decrease in water as many observers suspect that climate change eventually pays its tribute. The arduous process to provide the families and livestock with water is usually the task of the women. The “carriers of life” have to endure exhausting and long walks, and hard physical labour to access the scarce ground water wells.
